Castleside Primary School pupils can fix it!
Move over seasoned contractors, there’s a new building company in town, and it’s run by pupils from Castleside Primary School. In a charming twist, these young go getters – students from Reception Class – have decided to take matters into their own hands by helping out to get their new nursery ready to go!
Armed with toy tools, their high vis vests and an abundance of imagination, these young builders are determined to create the nursery of their dreams.
The ‘Castleside Constructors’ just could not wait until January for their new Early Years Unit to open, so took matters into their own hands to see if they could bring that date forward. Plans were drawn for their dream nursery by Freddie, and newly appointed Foreman, Theo, oversaw the construction plans, while Brodie and Maisie chose their favourite paint samples.
Head Teacher, Jo Woodhall is thrilled with the construction taking place and is ‘happy that the early years team are just as excited to get this project up and running as we are’.
Following their first shift, all crew members enjoyed a ‘builders brew’ mug of milk and well-deserved biscuits.
If you’d like to see the newly constructed Early Years Unit at Castleside Primary School, join them in January for a special open event to unveil their new facilities. If you’d like to register your interest in joining Castleside Nursery, head to www.castlesideps.org.uk
